After a 30-year career as a corporate marketing copywriter and content strategist, Susan decided to pursue her dream and become a life coach. Assuming there was NO WAY the proven tactics she used for her B2B clients would work in the personal development market, she tossed her expertise out the window. Instead, she followed the {incomplete} advice of her online coaching mentors—with no results. After losing more than $60,000, she was ready to quit. Then she attended a digital marketing conference where the light bulb went on and she realized her BIG mistake. By going back to the tactics she had successfully used to help multi-million dollar companies (and her husband’s massage clinic) consistently grow, she began to see results—higher email open rates, more engagement, and sales! Now she spends her days teaching her students how to replicate the same success.

After college Sarah discovered yoga as a way to bring healing to herself and others. She explored different yoga specialties and trainings across the U.S. before settling on yoga and aerial yoga as part of her true calling. With over 8 years of traditional yoga, aerial yoga, and Thai massage experience under her belt in 2017 she opened Flying Buddha, a small aerial yoga home studio in Potomac, Maryland and grew her following through word of mouth. Sarah and this life changing practice quickly grew a community of passionate followers. Bolstered by this supportive community and her family, Sarah opened a full-blown commercial space in 2019. Today Flying Buddha Studio is a growing movement and wellness studio located in Gaithersburg, Maryland that includes the only aerial yoga, aerial arts, yoga rope wall, barre and soon to be bungee fitness programs in the area. In addition to being a small business owner, Sarah has been married for 4 years and has three daughters: Bella, Maddy, and Eliza
Career Change Agent and life coach Sara McArdle wasn’t born with an obvious “calling.” In fact, while she knew when she started working as a professional graphic designer that something was missing, she waited nearly 20 years to make a change. In 2013, she began practicing Compassionate Communication?a discipline that helps people transform negative self-talk, identify what matters most to them and take steps toward a more wonderful life. Her experience of empowering herself and others was so transformative that she pursued a Whole Person Coach® certification and launched a business to help women recognize and make the most of their unique gifts, and (like her) find work they’re madly in love with. Today, she works one-on-one coaching women, she hosts workshops and events, and has her own podcast, called "Women Who Went for It," that features inspiring chats with successful career changers.
