A native Washingtonian, Lisa Shapiro holds a BA in Psychology and Master’s in Educational Psychology from George Mason University. Professionally, she has decades of experience in communications, writing, research, digital marketing, and social media. She is a natural community organizer and integrator with a passion for connecting others. A self-described serial entrepreneur who started her own business at age 18, Lisa launched DCfempreneur to connect with other female entrepreneurs to help impact and grow their businesses to make them more purposeful, profitable and sustainable.
After spending countless hours trying to find and verify potential work-from-home opportunities, Laura Spawn knew there needed to be a better way to find legitimate remote work online. Liz Grantham is the founder of TheOptimal.me. She has more than thirty years of experience in marketing and advertising with global clients such as Visa, Shell, and Sony Mobile, working on projects including the Olympics.
Originally from the suburbs of Detroit, Leigh Genetti Byers is a graduate of The University of Michigan, where she received her Bachelor of Arts degree in History. Byers started District Maven Marketing + Creative during her sophomore year of college and has continued to grow the business ever since. She is an expert in search engine optimization, marketing strategy and brand management, with a flair for web development. Byers is also a seasoned writer, crafting dynamic pieces for Guest of a Guest and Localeur.
Lauren is owner and operator of Good Vibrations Complete Health and Wellness and founder of Move To Connect. Move To Connect is a membership of women coming together to find movement as medicine and move their bodies as an act of self love. Lauren is passionate about rewriting our stories of what it means to be healthy, busy free of these societal norms and help women feel sexy and strong in their bodies- every shape, every size. I’m a firm believer our biggest wins come from going after our core desired feelings vs our desired weight goals.
Lisa Dadd spent 15 years with a Fortune 100 company, learning the foundations of corporate sales and marketing before redirecting that knowledge as an entrepreneur. An intense training in transformational leadership, and work in social-emotional intelligence gave her a new appreciation for blending seemingly divergent skills. Today, Lisa enjoys playing with those skills as she creates unique experiential programs that develop leaders who are radically self-aware, personally accountable and deeply connected to their visions.
Lauren is a former CPA turned blogger, and she and her business partner, Alex Nerney, run two successful blogs together. Their first blog, Avocadu, is a health and wellness blog that teaches women how to lose weight. After earning six figures with that blog in their first year, they started Create and Go, where they teach others how to start and monetize their own blogs. She now runs both blogs full-time while traveling the world as a digital nomad.

Mr. Rener has lectured coast to coast on the rudiments of branding, visual vocabulary, viral video marketing, sales and user experience design. He has served as the only African-American on the re-branding board of CEO SPACE International, and was a distinguished member of their faculty for many years. Often known as ‘The Branding Guy’, his skill sets are incredibly diverse. Over 10 years ago, he produced the first educational car detailing web series, Final Touch TV, which has grossed over a million views on YouTube. Today, Mr Rener is a highly accomplished and sought- after consultant, strategist, educator, and designer. He has worked with a plethora of clients, that include Fast Frame, Wendy Ida Fitness, Bombay Saphire, John Leslie Brown (son of renowned speaker Les Brown), and many other clients who’s names cannot be divulged, because of standing non-disclosure agreements.
