Renee is a US Navy veteran and a Loudoun County resident since 2003. She lives in Ashburn with her husband Don and son Gino. Her company, Cork and Keg Tours, is a nationally recognized as one of the top 10 wine tour companies in America, and number 1 several years in a row in Loudoun County. She has been a speaker and panelist for many organizations, including meta and Visit Loudoun, and the winner of the multiple awards including Meta Digital Innovator 2021, CTA of the Year 2022, and NAWBO Rising Star Award winner. Renee has been written about internationally in multiple publications for her leadership and trailblazing in the wine and hospitality industry, including a viral spotlight on entrepreneur.com at 18 million views and rising. In addition to running her own company, she is small business mentor and active as a volunteer with various community non-profits.
We’re Chris and Julia Tunstall, a husband-and-wife team who love the service industry and are dedicated to treating all of our customers like they are our family. Inspired by Chris’ decade of experience as a bartender and bar manager, we created A Bar Above as a bar education site in 2013, growing over the years to add online training, a podcast, and a unique line of premium barware designed entirely by us. We’re dedicated to growing a team of people in Carlsbad, California who love craft cocktails and the beverage/service industry as much as we do! Together, we continue to develop and personally test our custom line of bar tools so we can bring the best barware to our customers. In addition, we are looking to expand our mixology course offerings in 2022.
