Oasis Day Spa owner Bruce Schoenberg is living proof that you can make a major career change work successfully. Bruce for over twenty years was involved in the event marketing and trade show industry, producing major events both locally and nationally.
In 1997 seeing the emergence of the wellness and spa industry going mainstream he saw the potential to bring his vision to New York City. After writing several business plans, conducting numerous focus groups and visiting dozens of spas Bruce was convinced the industry was growing and could support another spa in the crowded Manhattan spa business. Bill Bice has always been an entrepreneur, starting his first company at age 14, putting on road races with corporate sponsors. At 18, he started ProLaw Software, which was so successful that it later sold to Thomson Reuters. Having built or invested in over 25 companies, he got so frustrated in trying to get great marketing for his companies that he decided to take on the problem himself. A programmer at heart, Bill founded Boomtime, tackling marketing as a technology problem. Bill can easily identify common business and marketing pitfalls, so his aim is to enable smaller businesses to more effectively compete with their larger competitors through effective marketing, primarily word of mouth.
Bobak Emamian is the CEO of Prolific Interactive, a mobile product agency based in Brooklyn, San Francisco, and Durham. Through an innovative approach to creating products, Prolific has delivered mobile experiences for leading brands including SoulCycle, American Express, Saks Fifth Avenue, TB12, Gap, CrossFit, and Sephora.
