Yeah, I think it's basically like a cheat code. It's gonna allow you to get past some of the things so that you can work on more of the creative things.

I think I have this quote that I always say, the systems will set you free. And I think AI is one of those systems because I think it will allow the opportunity to be more creative.

Because a lot of the nuts and bolts and things that we had to take more time or spend more energy on are moved to the side.

So now you have a starter as far as what you want to create, and then you get to add more creativity. You get to spend more energy there.

So I definitely foresee, myself, I think, many others being able to use the AI tools to get started, get a baseline, maybe even kick around ideas, and then you  can tap in to your creativity from there.

Tricia Ulberg 00:40
I like that.

Daniel Bisset 00:41
So I've been using AI since. Since it came out. I totally geeked out on it. I've got GPT Pro. I'm not gonna lie. Totally. Okay. Yeah. All right. 29 bucks a month. Hell yeah. Let's just see what I can do with this.

And I've tested auto GPT to see if it can basically run itself, and it does. It's neat to. To some degree with. With the content creation and the fact that we can take somebody's voice and use a tool to learn their voice and then recreate it.

We can take a tool to take somebody's face and then manipulate it. Where do we go from here as content creators? Like the OG Content creators? What. In your opinion?

And I know. Here's the crystal ball, Gresh. It's all on you. You got to get this right. Right. No pressure, but how do we protect our clients? Best interest?

Yes. We can use Chat GPT just like you're saying to. To initiate a good article or. Or tweak it or. Or mold it. That's all well and good, but that's. That's total short term.

What's the long term game that we need to get in on the mindset right now to start advising our clients for two years from now? What do you think?

Tricia Ulberg 02:06
Great Question.

[restrict paid=”true”]

Gresham Harkless 02:07
That's an awesome question. I almost want to put that question in Chat GBT to see what answer it might give. That might be the best thing, but. Yes, but I think that's the big part.

It's just like how to. Asking the question of how you can. Work in tandem with all this technology two years down the line, 10 years down the line. Not Ignore it.

And I think that even we go far back, so many people said the Internet was a fad or it wasn't going to be a thing, that we weren't going to be using cell phones.

So there's always these technology shifts that are happening. And as a leader, as a, you know, leader of an organization especially, I think the thing that you want to be able to ask is, how can I really leverage the strengths of these tools.

But at the same time not lose the creativity and opportunity to create something new? And there's this book called Range, which has been one of my favorite reads.

Because a lot of what he talks about doing is that the opportunity is not in fighting a lot of the kind of specialization of technology or things, but really understanding how you can collectively put together 5, 10, 20 different things and create new solutions from that.

See also  IAM2039 - CEO Unlocks Business Success Through Building Relationships

So I think if I'm talking with anybody, I'm saying I don't necessarily know the exact answer, but I do know that you want to be able to look at all the things that are happening.

Look at the strengths of the technology of ChatGPT of the world and other technology tools, and not just say, hey, this is taking my content writing away, but instead ask a question of how can I leverage this.

So that I can use this ability to write a piece of content a lot quicker and couple it with other aspects that are also changing simultaneously? And I think the gift and the curse is that it doesn't provide you an exact answer, but that's where the opportunity is in the same vein.

So if you're able to be okay with not having the exact answer, but still wanting to be able to experiment and be in that spirit, I think that's really where we're going to be in two years and definitely farther beyond that, because things are changing so rapidly.

And you're not going to know the exact answer. And that's not okay for everybody. But I think for people that it might be okay with, then there's a great opportunity from them.

Intro 04:21

Hello, hello, hello, this is Gresh from the I AM CEO podcast, and I wanted to share with you one of the episodes that I was a guest on for someone else's podcast.

I always talk about how important it is to build a media company. One of the next best things you could do is build somebody else's media company.

So I had the pleasure of being a guest on this podcast, and I wanted to share a little snippet with you because it would help support the eight business pillars.

We've really been trying to focus on with a lot more of our content and a lot more of the solo episodes that I'm doing.

So make sure, of course, that you subscribe. Subscribe to our podcast, but of course, you take some time out, check out the show notes, and subscribe to the podcast that I've been featured on as well, too.

And get to learn about some of those eight business pillars and how you can continue to kind of leverage and build that up so you can go from builder to architect to, of course, rockstar and luminary.

So this is Gresh signing out. I hope you enjoy this I AM CEO special episode.

Gresham Harkless 05:14
Hello, hello, hello, this is Gresh here and welcome back to the I AM CEO Podcast.

This is your daily podcast and my goal with the podcast has always been to interview incredible entrepreneurs, CEOs and business owners, share tools, hacks, strategies, nuggets, all those things that can help you thrive.

If you are a builder working a little bit more in the business rather than on the business, figure out exactly how you can level up so you could be the best CEO, entrepreneur or business owner that you can ultimately be.

Today I'm actually excited to share a snippet with you from a snippet. I was actually on the We Rock Digital Amplified podcast where we had a phenomenal conversation.

I was privileged to be a guest on the show and we really talked about a lot. But this snippet that I wanted to share a snippet of is really around technology, AI systems, and how they can ultimately unlock your business's full potential.

One of the big things that I say often is that the systems will set you free. Pairing those systems and the technology with that operations can really take things to an entirely different level.

But you as a leader, as you're especially working in the business, you want to start to see how you could potentially automate or even use technology to some degree to delegate some of those things.

And it really takes not just the practicality of being able to understand, okay, this is a step down. Doing this is how I move this step away.

I'm, you know, potentially creating digital marketing content for my social media platform. Can I use AI to at least get me started so that I could get further there?

Or I'm really thinking of the different ways to kind of tackle some problems within my business. Can I use AI ChatGPT as a sounding board?

So in the podcast we really talked about, you know, different ways and technology tools you can use. We really focus on, of course, the pillar of technology and the operations of systems.

So we glow. We glossed on Chat, GPT and Claude, of course, those are some of your biggest AI tools. But you have tools like Anthropic and Perplexity, so many different ways that you can leverage AI.

And one of the really cool things is that sometimes there's even tools that actually will leverage all those different tools at the exact same time. One of the ones I use is Chat Playground.

See also  IAM041 - Author & Speaker Helps Companies with Innovative Customer-Centric Strategies

And Chat Playground basically makes it easier so that you can ultimately use all the different tools at the same time and just see what the different outputs are because each of them have their strengths and weaknesses.

But ChatGPT is also like, is of course like one of the most well known, but there's still like some incredible opportunities. So thinking about drafting emails, writing content, brainstorming ideas, doing it very quickly at lightning speed.

You can use cloud potentially as a strategic partner. Summarizing reports, getting feedback, refining operational workforces. Perplexity is really great at being able to kind of ask specific questions and be able to get the sources from the responses that are coming.

So if you're able to integrate these tools, understand the strengths and weaknesses of each, then it's only going to set you up for a better, like in more of a likelihood of being successful.

So that's really where understanding like the operations and systems, that's where that magic can happen. Because systems are not just around automation.

It's actually about consistency, scalability, and of course, clarity. So really imagine that you have a more streamlined operational process and think about you having the opportunity to focus on the things that truly matters.

Which is ultimately building your business, serving your audience, solving those problems that you need to and really playing to your superpowers.

And I think so many times when you're working in the business as a builder and you want to get to that architect level where you're working more on the business or completely on the business.

And the business is even growing without you, it's a great place to be because it allows you to kind of spend more time away from the things that are not ultimately going, going to be like what your superpower is.

So one of the really great hacks that we touched on, of course we touched on ChatGPT and Claude and different AI tools like that, the chat playground as well too.

So there's a lot of different ways that you can leverage that. But one of the really big hacks that I wanted to talk about was a book that I bring up a lot and it's called Range.

During the podcast, the guests actually, or the host actually asked me, what do I think is the way to tackle the future for technology, for AI, whether we're talking about SEO, we're talking about any other aspect.

How do you tackle this? And I think the reality is that we don't really know what the answer to that question is. There's going to be people that of course give you these hypotheses.

They're going to have their assumptions, they're going to say it's going to be this or it's going to be that, it's going to replace jobs or it's going to amplify jobs, they're going to do this or it's going to do that.

But what I think we really need to focus on, especially as leaders and especially as builders and frankly as architects as well too, and even luminaries, is understanding that it's the mentality, really what you should be striving for.

So the book by David Epstein called Range is the idea that the range of experience that you have can help you to navigate the complexity and prepare for the future.

It's actually to your advantage to have all of these different skills and experiences and things to pull from. So if you don't necessarily have those experiences, you have some tools literally at your fingertips that you can use to leverage that.

Their chatgpt your range. All these AI tools are giving you a wide range of experiences so that you can lean on those too, basically strengthen whatever it is that you're trying to do.

So the actual sub headline for the book Range is that it's why generalists triumph in a specialized world. There's been such a push around being a specialist. You have to really specialize, unless you really, really want to know this.

But the real future belongs to those that have those range of experiences and are able to solve these complex problems. Because these problems are not just one plus one equals two, it's one plus one equals ten.

And you have to figure out, how does one plus one equals ten? Because the one maybe doesn't symbolize one, maybe the one actually is nine. So you start to have to look at things in a different way.

And when you have those different perspectives, it allows you to solve problems in a different way. But probably most importantly, it allows you to think about problems in a different and unique way.

And I would argue that that's ultimately like a skill that you should have. So when you're thinking about operations and systems, that's something that you definitely want to think about.

But of course, the pillar is technology as well too, because when you're thinking about technology, you're Seeing how you can leverage it not just to do what everybody else is doing, but to really think outside the box.

How can you really use ChatGPT to have a conversation and to think about things before you take that next step, to brainstorm before you ask the question, or to look at your resume before you apply for that job, whatever that thing might be.

We have tools right now that we can leverage that allow us to look at things in a different way, to operate differently. But you only do that if you're not stuck in doing the things in the same way.

You're looking at things in a more holistic way. And I think that's one of the really exciting things in the podcast we explored how tapping into this range is about having all the answers, not about knowing all the things from for tomorrow, but actually cultivating the mindset to operate effectively when tomorrow comes.

And tomorrow will come every single day, of course, if we're blessed to see tomorrow. But I think the point is, is that if you have the mindset, you know you're going to be always iterating, you're always going to be evolving.

You're always going to be understanding, you know what you're doing and you're going to be acquiring those range of different service, different skills and experiences so that you can solve the problems of tomorrow.

So when you pair that mindset with the strong systems, cutting edge technology, you're not just about keeping up, you're about staying ahead.

And frankly, you're about thriving within organizations. So here's the big thing that I want you to take away. Systems, AI and a diverse range of experiences are your keys to unlocking freedom and growth in your, in your organization, in your business.

By leveraging tools and CEO hacks like ChatGPT, Claude Perplexity all these different tools that I'll have in the show notes building your strong systems and embracing the flexibility that comes from a broad skill set, you're actually setting yourself up to thrive in any environment.

But it's ultimately that mentality. You have to have that mentality and that's going to help you to continue to kind of evolve and continue to kind of thrive.

And frankly, when you do have those down moments, it's not going to be the end of the road. It's going to challenge you to be able to look at things in a different way.

So if this of course resonates with you, please of course check out our SEO Hacks library. It's packed with resources to help you implement systems, tools strategies we talked about today of course, check out our our co flicks.

It's kind of like our our Netflix for business or our Blinkist for business where we've taken a lot of our content and make it available to you to be able to kind of level up quickly and easily within these certain business categories.

And of course you gotta listen to the episode that We Rock Digital Marketing Amplified Podcast. It was such a great conversation. Not just because I was on it, but the guests, I mean the hosts are doing a phenomenal job.

So make sure that you go and listen to this that episode in totality. We'll also have that in the show notes and that's basically it. So if you're a builder looking to scale up, don't forget to future proof your business.

Start with systems, embrace technology and expand that range of different experiences. Use that to your advantage. And don't forget to of course check out the We Rock Digital Marketing Amplified Podcast is definitely worth a listen.
