My mission, if I could say a soul mission in a really short blasted way is, I want to support people in creating an unobstructed reality that allows their creative essence to flow fully so they can feel into who they actually came here to be on planet earth rather than what we've been taught to be, or trained to be, or programmed to be.
Intro 00:29
Do you want to learn effective ways to build relationships, generate sales, and grow your business from successful entrepreneurs, startups, and CEOs without listening to a long, long, long interview?
If so, you've come to the right place. Gresham Harkless values your time and is ready to share with you precisely the information you're in search of.
This is the I AM CEO podcast.
Gresham Harkless 00:54
Hello. Hello. This is Gresh from the I AM CEO podcast and I appreciate you listening to this episode. If you've been listening this year, you know that we've hit 1600 episodes at the beginning of this year. We're doing something a little bit different where we're repurposing our favorite episodes around certain categories, topics, or as I like to call them, business pillars that we think are going to be extremely impactful for CEOs, entrepreneurs, and business owners, just like you, or what I like to call the CB nation architects who are looking to level up their organizations.
This month, we are focusing on CEO Hacks and CEO Nuggets. This is by far one of my favorite questions I asked on the show. In other words, I asked what are the apps, books, and habits that make you more effective and efficient? Those were the CEO hacks. Then I asked for a word of wisdom or a piece of advice or something that you might tell your younger business self if you were to hop into a time machine. Those were the CEO Nuggets. That's what we'll focus on this month and some of the top ones that can instantly impact your business.
I love all the questions, but with every episode, I felt I would walk away with something I could look at and implement right there to save precious resources, time, and money. Or I would also learn about the advice, tips, and tidbits that are tools of the trade on how to level up our organization. So you'll hear some of these this month. So sit back and enjoy this special episode of the I AM CEO podcast.

[restrict paid=”true”]
Gresham Harkless 03:25
No problem. What I wanted to do is just ask you a little bit more about your CEO story. What led you to start your business?
Taylor Eyewalker 03:31
Happy to share. Really happy to share. I think it all started with my very young healing path when I was eight years old. I always remembered being connected to something greater than I am. I always felt something very deep and I was always very interested in acupuncture and holistic healing, yoga and herbs. It was just a part of me since I was a child and I think part of it is because my mother instilled that in me. As I grew up, I thought it would be cool to become an artist. I was really good at being an artist and that's really what I wanted to do. And I was pushed and freeing for my family to be an artist.
Then as I developed myself as an artist, I kept feeling this longing inside that I had something deeper to offer. I didn't realize until later that I could merge my relationship with art and the world of form into the world of healing. So I could help people develop themselves more fully and heal inside of their bodies, become more radiant, bright, resilient, clear, and joyful and then allowing this human experience to become a work of art.
So that's actually what kind of inspired me as a child, this sort of childlike desire to understand human psychology and the nature of being human. It translated into what I'm doing today. So that's how I started my business.
Gresham Harkless 04:50
That's awesome. So I wanted to drill a little bit deeper to learn a little bit more about like how you tap into that human art form and how you serve your clients.
Taylor Eyewalker 04:57
I have a few different ways that I work with people, and I teach Kundalini Yoga, which is a form of yoga that works with the nervous system, the endocrine system, the glandular system, and the consciousness of the being. So I teach one on one Kundalini Yoga, I do group trainings, I do group classes, I do retreats all over the world.
Then I also have developed a training modality that is yogic, but it also is about merging our ordinary world. So how to get our ordinary world together, which means the tangible and the finite, right? Then how to merge it with our extraordinary world, our inner world, which is more of our spiritual life, our connection to our soul. That's called the Uncoil Method.
So that's part of the work that I do with people. Then I also work with people, I've been studying shamanic healing for a while, for a long time, actually. So I do different healing modalities and then I work with herbs and plants as well. Those are the breakdown nature of how I share with my clients.
Gresham Harkless 06:03
Awesome. What I wanted to do is drill a little bit, even deeper to ask you what do you feel makes you unique? What is your kind of secret sauce so to speak?
Taylor Eyewalker 06:10
My mission, if I could say a soul mission in a really short blasted way is I want to support people in creating an unobstructed reality that allows their creative essence to flow fully so they can feel into who they actually came here to be on planet earth, rather than what we've been taught to be or trained to be or programmed to be.
So we can actually know who it is we are. So my secret sauce is getting in there and helping you remove the blockages that are blocking you from your creative expression, your creative fulfillment, so you can actually be who you came here to be on planet earth. In my lineage, we call it a dharma. We call it living your path, right? Living your highest soul's path.
Gresham Harkless 07:02
That's powerful.
Taylor Eyewalker 07:03
Absolutely. Because we are all experiencing that in some sort of way. We're all experiencing some sort of blockage, some sort of limitation, some reason why we're not getting what we want in life, or we're not getting our dreams fulfilled, or we're not in the flow, rather than future projecting, maybe some people don't want to future project, but we want to be in the flow and a flow state is when we can remove the obstruction.
Gresham Harkless 07:27
Awesome. So, I wanted to switch gears a little bit and ask you for what I call a CEO hack. The CEO hack could be an app, it could be a book, or it could be just something that you do on a regular everyday basis that makes you more effective and efficient.
Taylor Eyewalker 07:40
Journaling. okay my teacher said this. So I'm going to give you guys this little tip of the trade. So he says that there are, it's like a simple equation for happiness. You want to be five minutes early always. You want to meet 10% below budget. You want to take 15 minutes every morning to create your day. This is when I really talk about journaling. In that 15 minutes, you take it in the morning and you mold your day. You're actually doing what's called future projecting. So you are determining how your day is going to go.
Naturally, all kinds of occurrences come and obstructions come, but the more you hone in on being able to mold and create your day, the more successful you'll be. Then 20 minutes a day to just be you, to just do you, that's a hack too. So no matter if you have children, a family, people that need you, a bustling business, you have to take time away. Go in the bathroom and be alone in the bathroom. If you need 20 minutes a day, you have to do that. Then 31 minutes for your meditation.
If you take 31 minutes for your meditation, then at the end of the day, again, for another 15 to 20 minutes journaling regarding the success of your day, is the experience what I was looking for. Then how could I have done better? And to go into that, there are many also ways that you could psychologically probe into your state of the day. But in a simple way, it's about creating the day in the morning, ending the day at night with observing your state, observing yourself, and then taking these other little tips.
That's a hack for a very successful business life because everything is business. Everybody's the CEO of their own life and that's what I want people to start to realize is that everything is a business with us, but not everything is a transaction, but we are always having a business relationship with something, right? So if we make it our business, we can really start to be successful. We make it our business to have a happy relationship. We make it our business to have a successful business and a career. We make it our business to have a healthy relationship with who we are. That's what I feel as that's a CEO.
Gresham Harkless 09:59
Awesome. So I wanted to ask you now for what I call a CEO nugget, and this is like a word of wisdom or piece of advice you might have for us.
Taylor Eyewalker 10:06
Okay. You see a situation, it might be a red flag when you say should I get involved in this business deal? Should I get involved in this relationship? Should I get involved with this thing? And your internal signal is, this is good for me. This is not good for me. And sometimes, intuitively you have to go into that red flag, right? You have to go into the thing that actually doesn't really feel quite right and you go in with the best intentions of doing your best and showing up completely and it working out. Then a lot of times if you tune back into that original feeling and you look at the situation that you're in, you can see, wow, I'm failing miserably. Like I'm failing miserably in this situation right now.
And I saw this before I got into it, but I needed to get into this in order to experience this massive amount of failure because I could have never learned this in a textbook. I could have never learned this in school or in a training. So I needed to go into this and actually needed to feel it in my limbic system. That's why I'm explaining this in this way, is we have to feel it inside of our limbic system to know how to retrain ourselves in a different way. So the nugget Is that you're going to go into red flags. You're going to go into awesome situations, but remember that these red flags are equally as valuable as these crumbling and these destructions.
These sometimes deterioration of relationships that you wanted to work out, they're necessary for you to develop an author more of who you are as a business person and as a leader. So these are your golden moments. Okay, so if we can learn how to look at these moments like they're golden, they're precious and not to let it get us down, we can really find success.
Gresham Harkless 12:03
I love that. I love that. Yes I love that aspect. So my favorite question now. It's just to ask you and you might have touched on it a little bit. But exactly what does being a CEO mean to you?
Taylor Eyewalker 12:14
Yeah, so I'll get into it a little more being a CEO. I think of the word authoring, right? I love the word authoring because I am authoring my life, which means that I am taking complete and total responsibility for the script that is my reality. So when I understand how to take complete and total responsibility for absolutely everything that happens in front of me, I am the chief executive officer of my reality.
In some of the teachings that I share what's called trough, which is S. R. A. It stands for See, Realize, Act. We see what must be done. We realize that it's our responsibility and we act, as if we are, God's agent on the scene, spirits agent on the scene, or master of the scene. That to me is what a CEO is, where we can understand that we are all-powerful. Every single one of us. We have all the energy within us to author the life that we want to have to offer the business that we want to have.
We just have to know how to create strategy and intelligent approaches for us to make the mistakes we need to have the successes that we need to, and just get into it and work on writing the story in a way that brings us to our highest excitement.
Gresham Harkless 13:48
Awesome. What I wanted to do was pass you the mic, so to speak, to see if there's anything additional you want to let our readers and our listeners know and how people can get a hold of you.
Taylor Eyewalker 13:56
I am offering a lot of different trainings in the coming year. So 2019, is going to be a lot of shifts in my business. I'm turning my business into a three-tiered training. I had done one on one Uncoil method training, and I have also launched a group Uncoil method training. The way that I'm going to relaunch the Uncoil method for groups is that I want to offer a level-one immersive experience for the Uncoil method.
That is basically a city immersion with 80 people. It's going to be high energy. You're going to learn a lot of tools for success and grounding your energy in the world and activating your energy so you can get lit up with fire, with energy, with brightness, with radiance. That's going to be like a base weekend and I hope that a lot of people will join that and get transformed from that level one.
Then I'll be offering deeper level two training in different parts of the world and beautiful locations for retreat firms. Then I will be offering my Uncoil method in a trainers and training program. So I would like to offer people the opportunity to train and do what I do. So that's what I'm really launching as a CEO right now, and it's a very exciting time.
The way that people can keep in touch with me or watch what I'm doing is usually through Instagram at tayloreyewalker and tayloreyewalker.com. Sign up for my newsletter and reach out to me and tell me how I can help you, tell me what you would like for me to do in order to be of service to the community. You can come to one of my mini Kundalini yoga classes. Or if you're in the LA area, we can work privately, or if you're on Skype or anywhere in the world, we can do Uncoil method privately, or I can work with you in so many different types of ways.
Gresham Harkless 15:59
Awesome. We will have all those links in the show notes so just in case anybody's listening, they can definitely follow up, but I truly appreciate everything you're doing to make a huge impact on the world.
And I just hope that you have a phenomenal rest of the day.
