IAM2524 – Letting Go: Your Journey to Inner Peace

Special Episode by Gresham Harkless Jr.

A man smiles at the camera next to a text box promoting "Blue Star Coaching: Letting Go—Your Journey to Inner Peace" on episode 2524 of a podcast, with various streaming platform logos below.

In this special episode, Gresham Harkless shares a deeply introspective reflection on a recent transformative experience he had during a float therapy session, which unexpectedly brought him a strong sense of spiritual and emotional release.

He talks about a powerful feeling of release, both mentally and physically, as if he had been carrying an invisible weight for years and was finally able to set it down.

Gresham recognizes that the moment fit naturally into his broader journey of personal growth and health, especially considering past difficulties with things like blood sugar regulation and the burden of striving for perfection in his decisions.

He emphasizes how entrepreneurs, including himself, often strive to control every detail, but moments like this serve as a reminder that surrender and acceptance can be just as powerful.

Furthermore, he’s reflecting on what the experience taught him and looking for ways to bring those lessons into his daily life and work, focusing on releasing the pressure to be perfect and learning to trust the journey as it unfolds.

If so, you've come to the right place. Gresh values your time and is ready to share with you the valuable info you're in search of. This is the I AM CEO Podcast.

Gresham Harkless 00:28

Hello, hello, hello. This is Gresh from the I AM CEO Podcast. And this is a special episode of our I AM CEO Podcast.

And this is actually going to be a snippet of a snippet, so to speak. I'm just doing an intro because I've been starting to document my journey into starting what is now called Blue Star Franchise.

We're also going to do a kind of sub site within CB Nation called Franchise CEO. So you'll see some links in the show notes related to that.

But just wanted to give you a little bit more insight, give you a little bit more color in some of the aspects of why I'm actually doing this.

Because one of the things I was doing as I was going through training to start up this new business was realizing and hearing from the founder of FBA, the Franchise Brokers Association, that it'd be really cool to document your journey going through and building this out.

I think it's something that would be super helpful, obviously for people that are looking for and thinking about starting franchises.

But frankly, if you're starting anything, any type of business, I think it's really cool to kind of just even see the journey and how it's been going from there.

So, I'm going to share a few of those snippets from the, from the first couple of videos that have been created.

But definitely, of course, subscribe to our YouTube, check out a lot more, where I figure out exactly where we're going to post this.

So, I'll have that information that's available to you. But regardless, if you're a builder, continue to keep building, continue to do your thing.

The world definitely needs exactly what you're trying to build and needs you to be your unique self.

So, make sure to run your own race, because nobody can run your race like you.

This is Gresh signing out. I hope you have a phenomenal rest of the day.

And it's day 205 of this franchise broker journey. I'm super excited that it is 205.

Actually, I've been still kind of reeling, I don't know if reeling is the right word, or just building upon, or just decompressing, or just understanding the, I don't know the right word, just like understanding what had happened.

Interpreting still, interpreting everything that happened with me this past weekend. I actually did a float, a pool float, or I forgot the exact term.

But basically, when you're in this pool with your tiny soul and you're just literally rising to the top.

And apparently, I had like a really spiritual experience, which I thought was pretty interesting and awesome.

But still understand exactly what that means, because I think so many times, you're holding on to so much.

And I definitely am one that holds on to a lot. I have been holding on to a lot, and it's just started to build where it's not sustainable.

I know it's not going to happen. And who knows? Maybe, in the previous videos, I talked about things like my blood sugar and just all those things.

If that release was actually needed, like I think I've been building up towards that and like having that experience in and of itself, I think was very much so in line with everything that I've been talking about is where you hold on to so much and then you just want to release things.

You're trying to make the right decisions. You're trying to make the perfect decisions.

But sometimes it's just having that levity in terms of saying, like, you can miss a shot and you get the opportunity to shoot again. It's just balancing between those different things, isn't being like really, really big.

So, I don't know. I'm still kind of going through everything. And I was talking with my wife. She was actually going through and telling me, these are probably, these are the things that you, that could have happened that you could take away from this.

And I thought like, wow, like I really haven't had a chance to really decompress from that, to really understand exactly what happened, what it means, and what it looks like.

So, needless to say, it's, it's been an experience and been something that I felt like a, I don't know if a ship, I felt like the experience of itself, and we'll see how it manifests itself and what it ultimately looks like.

But man, it was really, really cool because I felt a lot of levity in terms of the things that I do, and I've had those experiences gradually, like, over here, but that was like an instance where I literally felt it throughout my entire being.

And then I felt it really early on, so really, really cool experience, definitely something I would again, but I think that what I'm kind of going through now is like, what can I take away from that?

And I think, like in business, I think we want to control so many things. We want to do these things. I think you probably find out most entrepreneurs, CEOs, and business owners are control freaks, and we want to control every aspect that we can.

But a lot of times you realize that you can't control all the things and you have to just, at some point just say, let's try to do the things, let's try to make the things happen.

But at the same time, let's just see how things will go. And I think when all these shifts and changes are happening, it's very much the same thing.

So, we'll ultimately kind of see what happens, and then we'll definitely take it from there.

Please let me know if there's anything I can do to help. And of course, looking forward to giving you more and more updates.
