IAM2546 – Discover The Power of Flotation Therapy
Special Episode by Gresham Harkless Jr.
In this special episode, Gresham Harkless reflects on the transformative impact of a recent float therapy session, describing it as a powerful and possibly spiritual experience that helped him release internal pressure and emotional weight.
Gresham notices a lingering sense of lightness and freedom from the constant need to have all the answers or carry every responsibility—a feeling he’s now motivated to integrate into his daily life.
He recognizes the compounded difficulty of building a business while managing personal responsibilities and emotional burdens, emphasizing that entrepreneurship is never isolated from the rest of life.
Gresham aims to carry that sense of ease and release into both his personal life and his approach to starting a new business, with a desire to operate from a place of presence rather than pressure.

Gresham Harkless 00:28
Hello, hello, hello. This is Gresh from the I AM CEO Podcast. And this is a special episode of our I AM CEO Podcast.
And this is actually going to be a snippet of a snippet, so to speak. I'm just doing an intro because I've been starting to document my journey into starting what is now called Blue Star Franchise.
We're also going to do a kind of sub-site within CB Nation called Franchise CEO. So, you'll see some links in the show notes related to that.
But just wanted to give you a little bit more insight, give you a little bit more color in some of the aspects of why I'm actually doing this.
Because one of the things I was doing as I was going through training to start up this new business was realizing and hearing from the founder of FBA, the Franchise Brokers Association, that it'd be really cool to document your journey going through and building this out.
I think it's something that would be super helpful, obviously for people that are looking for and thinking about starting franchises.
But frankly, if you're starting anything, any type of business, I think it's really cool to kind of just even see the journey and how it's been going from there.
So, I'm going to share a few of those snippets from the, from the first couple of videos that have been created.
But definitely, of course, subscribe to our YouTube, check out a lot more where I figure out exactly where we're going to post this.
So, I'll have that information that's available to you. But regardless, if you're a builder, continue to keep building, continue to do your thing.
The world definitely needs exactly what you're trying to build and needs you to be your unique self.
So, make sure to run your own race, because nobody can run your race like you.
This is Gresh signing out. I hope you have a phenomenal rest of the day.
And just like that is day 207. And I wanted to kind of do a little bit more of a brain dump from the float therapy experience that I had. It was really, really crazy.
But I'm hearing that everything that I experienced is definitely normal and how it's supposed to be. I think that having that experience and going through it on Friday and now it being, Tuesday, it's been a few days.

I think, I don't know what type of experience it was, if it was like a, a, I don't know what type of experience it was, but it really put me in a place where it led me to release a lot and not feel like there's these things that I have to do, things that I have to lean on that weigh me down.
So, the biggest thing that I think I took away from this is like, how do I implement that into my life on a regular basis? How can I get into that light feeling?
And that's something that would be very interesting to try to figure out exactly what creates that same type of lightness, the same type of feeling, the same type of getaway, because I think that's ultimately what you want to try to be able to go to on a regular basis.
Of course, you have that that you can kind of go to, but seeing as how I don't necessarily have that device here, but to be able to kind of do that from a daily basis, it will end up being a really big thing.
And maybe it's just breathing. Maybe it is, doing those things. And in the grand scheme of things, when we're talking about starting a business, starting a franchise, whatever it might be.
There's a lot of weight that goes with that. In addition to that, you have all the other things that sometimes happen in life. And I think once you start to carry all those things, it becomes really, really heavy.
So that's one of the things that I think is probably the most challenging thing about starting a business is that it's not just starting a business.
You're never just starting a business. You're dealing with all the other things that you're challenged with, in addition to starting something that is extremely challenging in and of itself.
So that's why a lot of times people, when they start something, they'll have their quote-unquote home life or their personal life a little bit more in like a step where they won't have any obligations, they won't have any responsibilities.
When I first started my business, I didn't have very many responsibilities at all. So, I think that's what puts you in this place and in this space. So, for me, I think that going through and having that initial float experience is very impactful.
I don't know if it was a spiritual experience, but it did feel like a lot of the conversations I've been having over a long period of time were around this. And then having this experience made it seem like everything was just an alignment to see where I would take this.
And I think more than anything else, it's something that I want to be able to kind of tap into that, that lightness, tap into that. the desire to not feel like I have to have all the right answers, do all the right things.
And man, it was really, really cool. I'm going to continue to read more about that and see what I can take away from that.
But yeah, it was a very cool experience. I think it helped me maybe remember even how to do that, remember how to be without a stress of having to make the right answers and do all the right things. So yeah, I mean, that's the experience. That's where I'm at.
We'll see how everything takes me from there. Looking forward to releasing, starting from scratch with this business, and then just seeing where everything takes me.
Please let me know if there's anything I can do to help. And of course, looking forward to giving you more and more updates.
