That's what stood out to me, episode number 89 of the I Am CEO Podcast with Allison. At the time of our conversation, Allison was a business strategist for mompreneurs, helping women build their automation, Facebook Live, email marketing, community while raising their families.

That's what stood out to me in episode number 89 of the I Am CEO Podcast with Allison. At the time of our conversation, Allison was a business strategist for mompreneurs, helping women build their automation, Facebook Live, email marketing, community while raising Her story included being laid off while being 6 months pregnant. Let me say that again, laid off by being 6 months— while being 6 months pregnant and realizing the side hustle had to become the full-time path. That kind of movement and that kind of movement actually forces clarity. But what really stood out for me and really came up for me was the tension that she named around women feeling guilty for ambition, especially, especially especially when they want to be present at home. That is a builder lesson beyond— even beyond motherhood. A lot of entrepreneurs are carrying guilt while trying to build what they want. They want flexibility but feel guilty needing it. They want income but feel uncomfortable saying it. They want impact but second-guess whether they're allowed to take up that space. Allison talked around being unapologetic, Unapologetic in saying, this is what I want and this is how I'm going to do it. That's the idea I want to run with. This connects to the strategy and human pillars. Strategy is clear when build— the builder starts to stop apologizing for the life and the business that it's supposed to support. Alexan also talked around automation, email lists, passive income, sleep, and self-care. But all that flows from the same deeper question: are you designing the business around the life you actually want? Or around what you think you're allowed to want. For builders, especially those juggling family caregiving or multiple responsibilities, the business cannot only be built around ambition. It has to be built around capacity, energy, and design. The idea I carry with is this: wanting both impact and a life you can actually live is not selfish at all. It may be the reason the business needs to— needs a better model. A question worth thinking about a little bit more is where are you still asking for permission to build the business and life you already know that you want? Because often, I'll at least say sometimes, the next level is not about doing more. Sometimes it's about starting to— stopping to apologize for that desire. If you've been building with guilt in the background, this conversation with Allison is definitely one worth revisiting.
