IAM2574 – Master Your Final Week of Transformation

Special Episode by Gresham Harkless Jr.

In this special episode, Gresham Harkless acknowledges that his last 12-week year fell short of expectations, largely due to a lack of focus and consistency, despite putting in considerable time and effort.

Looking ahead, he plans to make sales his top priority—specifically aiming for 12 total sales: four CEO clients, two Franchise Sales, and six CEO Hacks.

He recognizes the strength of his brand and how clients are increasingly informed and influenced, which makes his existing reputation a key asset.

Gresham expresses renewed motivation and clarity, emphasizing that consistent sales are the game-changer that will allow him to scale, build his team, and create sustainable momentum.

Gresham Harkless 00:28

Hello, hello, hello. This is Gresh from the I AM CEO Podcast. And this is a special episode of our I AM CEO Podcast.

And this is actually going to be a snippet of a snippet, so to speak. I'm just doing an intro because I've been starting to document my journey into starting what is now called Blue Star Franchise.

We're also going to do a kind of sub-site within CB Nation called Franchise CEO. So, you'll see some links in the show notes related to that.

But just wanted to give you a little bit more insight, give you a little bit more color in some of the aspects of why I'm actually doing this.

Because one of the things I was doing as I was going through training to start up this new business was realizing and hearing from the founder of FBA, the Franchise Brokers Association, that it'd be really cool to document your journey going through and building this out.

I think it's something that would be super helpful, obviously for people that are looking for and thinking about starting franchises.

But frankly, if you're starting anything, any type of business, I think it's really cool to kind of just even see the journey and how it's been going from there.

So, I'm going to share a few of those snippets from the first couple of videos that have been created.

But definitely, of course, subscribe to our YouTube, check out a lot more where I figure out exactly where we're going to post this.

So, I'll have that information that's available to you. But regardless, if you're a builder, continue to keep building, continue to do your thing.

The world definitely needs exactly what you're trying to build and needs you to be your unique self.

So, make sure to run your own race, because nobody can run your race like you.

This is Gresh signing out. I hope you have a phenomenal rest of the day.

It's week 12 of my 12-week year. And honestly, I haven't done much these 12 weeks. I kind of just, it's gone really, really slow.

I've just kind of let everything go by the wayside. I really need to rethink about what I want my 12-week year goals to be. I think it's gonna be something sales-related, because I still think that.

I think getting the three to four CEO clients, probably around three to four CEO clients, and then closing it out with the other things is gonna be one of the bigger things to kind of do with getting a franchise sale, starting up the CEO Hacks.

Those things are gonna be the most important, but I think being able to kind of create this foundation is going to be big.

I thought I could spend time elsewhere and do this, but I think I need to be very much so and dialed in on this and make it happen.

Overall, I've, I put in a lot of work and I put in a lot of time. I know a lot of people, definitely, follow up with me.

And that might also be a really big thing, too, is that I have a lot more cachet, I guess, to my name just because some of the things I've been able to accomplish.

And it's funny because when I talk with our most recent new client, official new client, one of the things she said is that, she said, that's why you're successful.

And for me, it was like, how does she know I'm successful? I didn't say anything, but the customer, the client, is so much more informed than they ever have been.

They're doing research, they're doing homework. So that's why a lot of times it's hard to like start zero, literally from scratch.

Because people can literally find everything about you for better or worse, depending on who you are, what you've been able to accomplish.

So, for me, I've been very excited about starting a new 12-week year. I think it's going to be somewhere around, getting a sale, maybe getting a bi-weekly sale, maybe getting a sale every week. I feel like that's ambitious.

So, it'd be basically getting, what, 12 sales? 12 sales. 12 sales. Ideally, I think having, what, four of those be CEO related would be ideal.

And I think being able to kind of have the CEO related ones for CEO sales, I'll just say one, two, I'll say two, that'll be two franchise sales, and the rest of them are CEO Hacks.

I think that's a good range of different experiences that I want, but it's just like, you just want to go through and just close this out.

Like, we really want to close it out. We want to make this happen. That this in and of itself will be the game changer.

I think I've been kind of bouncing around rather than saying, this is what we need to do. I think even wanting to build up, transition towards that.

But I think at the end, the grand scheme of things, it's just, it's really, really about getting these sales come in and the sales come in and changes everything.

Because I think you now have a little bit more of a team, a system in place, and you have some dependable people.

So now it's just like cutting the light on and just saying, hey, this is what we're going to do.

So, I'm trying to make that transition, trying to make that change, and we'll see what ultimately happens from here.

But I'm excited about where I am, excited about where things are changing, how they're going to be, and I'm looking forward to this next full week here for sure.

Please let me know if there's anything I can do to help. And of course, looking forward to giving you more and more updates.
