And the hamster wheel world is where you just go round and round in that loop of mediocrity and whatever, this is good enough.

And oh, they're doing it this way, so that's good enough. And no, don't look at the outside world for your guidance.

Look inside to that wild soul, to that spirit that knows that you can rock this and then follow its direction, not the direction from those junk emails.

Intro 00:28

Are you ready to hear business stories and learn effective ways to build relationships, generate sales, and level up your business from awesome CEOs, entrepRyneurs, and founders without listening to a long, long, long interview?

If so, you've come to the right place. Gresh values your time and is ready to share with you the valuable info you're in search of. This is the I AM CEO Podcast.

Gresham Harkless 00:55

Hello, hello, hello, this is Gresh from the I AM CEO Podcast and I have an awesome guest on the show today. Coming back on the show, might I say, Ryn Gargulinski. Ryn, excited to have you on the show.

Ryn Gargulinski 01:06

Well, excited to be here. Thank you. Thank you for inviting me back.

Gresham Harkless 01:10

Yes, I'm super excited to have you back on. It's been far too long, but one of the things I'm super excited about is talking about all the awesome things that Ryn's been working on.

So I wanted to read a little bit more about Ryn so you can hear about some of those awesome things.

And Ryn or Rynski, an award winning author, artist and speaker dedicated to using her creativity, experience and humor to help others live in freedom and joy.

When she founded Sanctuary of the Wild Souls as a community hub for learning and guidance for those hungry to rise above the third dimensional hamster wheel world and into higher states of consciousness.

Rynski has more than 10 books to her credit, including her inspirational memoir entitled How to Get Through Hell on Earth Without Drinking a Keg or Kicking a Garden Gnome.

And one of the things I'm so excited about, I had Ryn on episode number 679 of our I AM CEO Podcast.

It was such a great conversation and one of the things that I was reading and I saw on our LinkedIn also on our website is I love that she helps individuals and brands ready to rise above the mediocrity.

I think that's such a beautiful thing is we can get caught in that trap of doing that. But from her book she says, I'm here to help other people fall in love with and rejoice in who they really are.

To break out of their self made cocoons, to discover and live in their purpose. This life is mine and I'm claiming it. How long before you claim yours too? Rynski? Excited on the show. Are you ready to speak to the I AM CEO community?

Ryn Gargulinski 02:36

I am so ready. Thank you. Thank you.

[restrict paid=”true”]

Gresham Harkless 02:39

Absolutely. Well, thank you for doing all the hard work. I felt like that was almost a mic drop quote.

So what I wanted to do is not drop the mic. Let's rewind the clock. Hear a little bit more on what you've been working on, what I call your CEO story.

Ryn Gargulinski 02:50

Woo. Well, I. I've been a CEO for many, many years and I've been helping brands and individuals for many, many years with this and that and writing and art and website building and all kinds of fun creative stuff.

And it really wasn't enough because it wasn't going deep enough for me. So that's when I'm. The rise above the mediocrity is really the key to what I do.

And I don't only do that by helping other people create things, but by helping them ascend on a mental, emotional and spiritual level. I would say physical, but we don't really get to float around damn gravity.

Gresham Harkless 03:32

Not yet at least. That's. That's such a huge thing to be able to. Because I always say like, I always say like, it's great to know what somebody does, but it's probably even more important to know why they do it.

And it sounds like you spend time to really make sure that people understand that. But of course, be able to kind of lean into that and execute on that too.

Ryn Gargulinski 03:55

Yes, yes, yes. And it's not easy to explain, or at least I don't think it is. I hope you understand what I'm talking about.

But rising above the mediocrity, that is a good way to explain it. And the hamster wheel world is where you just go round and round in that loop of mediocrity and yeah, whatever, this is good enough.

And oh, they're doing it this way, so that's good enough. And no, don't, don't look at the outside world for your guidance.

Look inside to that wild soul, to that spirit that knows that you can rock this and then follow its direction. Not the direction from those junk emails.

Gresham Harkless 04:34

Yeah, absolutely. And so I wanted to drill down a little bit more, hear a little bit more on how you're working with and serving your clients.

Could you take us through a little bit more on what that looks like, your books, all the awesome things that you're. You've been able to create?

Ryn Gargulinski 04:45

Yes, well, the main goal we just, we established. So everything I do feeds into that. So My writing, I have a lot of books, and I didn't really switch gears into this until maybe the last four books or so are all providing tools and methods and habits and suggestions on how you can get to this beautiful space of following your soul rather than the news headlines.

So I also create art, which is inspiring, and it makes people smile, and joy and laughter are definitely a connection into that.

And I hold a lot of Reiki workshops and classes and sessions. And Reiki is an amazing energy therapy that helps clear out what you no longer need and imbue you with what you do need.

So all those things are available, and I set up a lot of programs which are still in the works on my Wild Soul website that help people ascend as well.

It's got to be in them doing all the work. So I'm just offering tools and things that work for me. Grab onto them and enjoy the ride.

Gresham Harkless 06:02

Yeah, I absolutely love it. And I almost wonder, is that part of, like, your secret sauce? I think it's for yourself, the business, or a combination of both.

But I feel like you have this ability to have these. This awaRyness, kind of see the forest for the trees, you know, be able to understand the full thing.

But it's not just that. It's be able to kind of execute on that, to create those things that will help people to also be able to see the forest for the trees. Do you feel like that sets you apart and makes you unique?

Ryn Gargulinski 06:27

Oh, yeah, definitely. And going through what I did is why I'm able to share what has worked for me.

And it's all it's not things I made up about, things I've read, things I've learned. Some things do come to me, like. Like my whole memoir, the Hell on Earth book.

I didn't write it. Every time I sat down, I asked for guidance because I've been wanting to write that for 25 years.

So who did it? Not me. The spirit self did it. So, yes, I think that is the secret sauce too, is I am able to help.

Yeah. I've been through it, and I know. I know it works. And I know how to help guide others to open to their own spiritual inspiration.

Gresham Harkless 07:16

Yeah. And I think that while you were saying that, I was getting kind of like the visual of, like, so many times we're so kind of clamped into that hamster wheeler thing of, like, this is how it needs to be done.

See also  IAM1655 - Holistic Entrepreneur Focuses on Human Optimization of Health, Wealth & Happiness

I always say, you don't want to get attached to the. How you want to get more attached to the why.

And if we're so attached to the how, it has to be done this way. There's no other way. It has to be done this way.

We're so kind of clamped in that it doesn't allow us to, like, open up our hand and see that there is an opportunity if we look at things in a diffeRynt way.

So I feel like being able to kind of understand that. But like you said, being able to say that, hey, this is something I wanted to do, maybe this is the manifestation of it and have it actually happen from there.

Ryn Gargulinski 07:54

Oh, yes. And what you said is a really good reminder, too, that we are only responsible for our effort, not the outcome.

So I know a lot of people will work with manifestation. They'll go, I want the pool. I want the pool. A lot of people. I wanted the pool for three years, and I said that I want the pool.

And it's not the damn pool that I even want. First of all. Yeah, I want the freedom and joy. It all comes back to that. I want the ease and contentment that this life can give us.

And also, they're choking it off by looking at this single thing, and it. And it has to go this way. And I've known other people were like, oh, well, I needed money, and.

But I didn't get a new job, but someone sent me a check for a thousand dollars, but that doesn't count. You just got the damn. You know what I mean?

Gresham Harkless 08:48

Yeah.

Ryn Gargulinski 08:49

So exactly. We think it has to go this. That's all our controlling nature, and that's all stemming from fear.

Because if we're not controlling it, oh, my God, is it haywire rushing into nowhere? No, it's not. There's a divine plane. Look at the sunset. And you tell me there's not a divine force at work out there?

Gresham Harkless 09:08

Yeah, absolutely. And so I wanted to switch gears a little bit, and I wanted to ask you for what I call a CEO hack.

So this could be like an app, a book, or even a habit that you have. But what's something you lean on that makes you more effective and efficient?

Ryn Gargulinski 09:20

Oh, my goodness. It is my morning ritual, and I hike highly recommend it. I mean, people. I wake up before I even get out of bed.

I just let goodness flow. I used to be like, oh, I have to do a gratitude list and be grateful. Grateful. Again, I'm putting. Then I'm like, wait a minute.

This is just giving me a headache. Why don't I just feel. Feel how soft the bed is, feel the pillows feel the dog next to me. Oh my God, I feel good. So before I even sit up, that's going on.

And then I go out outside to the lanai, have my coffee and I do a little reading, do a little journaling and then I do my meditation based on what I read or based on how I'm feeling that day. I always do a check in.

How do I feel mentally at this moment, emotionally, spiritually and physically. And my goal is to make sure all our up there feeling good.

And if there's something lingering, I deal with it. Because when we push down the lingering, it just festers, grows and bites us in the bum. It will, it will. You're going to be cutting people off in traffic before you know it.

So I that's how. Oh, and a morning stretches and exercise. So I take care of all things before I even look at my phone, before I even attempt to do a podcast or walk, take a walk. That I need that sanctuary for my soul.

And I would highly recommend it doesn't have to be elaborate, doesn't have to be more than three minutes.

But I know so many people. I was in a coaching group once and the woman said, don't grab your phone first thing in the morning.

And like everyone was like, I have to, I have to. I right there, you are inviting in the chaos before you even get out of bed.

Gresham Harkless 11:18

Yeah. And you might have already touched on this to be a little bit more CEO nugget could be word of wisdom, piece of advice.

I like to say it might be something you would tell your younger business self if you were to hop into a time machine or potentially your favorite client.

Ryn Gargulinski 11:31

Oh well, I'm going to pull a nugget from my Hell on Earth book which touches on everything we've discussed and I'm just going to read it verbatim.

It's three very short paragraphs that no matter how, where, when, or how long we live, we're going to have to face our own varieties of hell on earth.

While we may not be able to control some of the stuff that's thrown our way, we can consciously decide what to do with it.

We can let it drag us down, wailing about being a victim as we rot in the gutter. Or we can use it to build us up into an unstoppable force that has the power of love, God and two big dogs on our side. I went with the latter. It's infinite, infinitely more fun.

It's also infinitely more interesting to look at life on Earth as a big adventure. We are here to fully experience both its beauty and its horror and hopefully enjoy the ride. And just as an aside, you got to get your own two big dogs. Mine are ticket.

Gresham Harkless 12:35

Yes, absolutely. I love that. And I love that. I appreciate you so much in sharing that. And of course we'll have the links and everything in the show notes too, so everybody can get a copy of the book. Is phenomenal.

So now I want to ask you my absolute favorite question, which is the definition of what it means to be a CEO.

And our goal is to have diffeRynt quote unquote CEOs on the show. So, Rynski, what does being a CEO mean to you?

Ryn Gargulinski 12:56

Oh, I hate the word executive. So for me it's Chief Entertainment Officer, Chief Enlightenment Officer, and Chief Enjoyment Officer. Yeah. And it's, again, freedom and joy. If you're not having fun as the Chief Executive Officer. Oh my God, that's so stressful.

Open it up. Why are you at the head of this company to begin with and be the Entertainment Enlightenment and Enjoyment Officer that brings it all together, takes that vision, makes it a reality and shares all the joy with others. No matter what it is you're selling, it can all fit into that mold.

Gresham Harkless 13:37

Nice. I love that. The three E's, I'll call it that. And I think when you're able to kind of tap into that and understand like again, going back to the why you're doing what you're doing, it's not often, I believe, at least to have a title, it's to be able to create that experience, that enjoyment, the enlightenment, just to have all those things be a part of, like what it is that you're doing for yourself.

But also for the people that are within your organization or you're partnering with or whatever. And however that that ends up being, at the end of the day, we have that opportunity to do that and we should operate from that vantage point.

Ryn Gargulinski 14:09

I agree. You are so on it.

Gresham Harkless 14:12

There we go. You may. I'm just repeating everything you did. So I appreciate it. Yes, absolutely. Well, Rynski, truly appreciate that definition. Of course I appreciate your time even more.

So what I wanted to do now is pass you the mic, so to speak, just to see if there's anything additional that you can let our readers and listeners know, of course, how best people can get a hold of you, find out about your books, all the awesome things that you're working on.

Ryn Gargulinski 14:36

Oh, well. Well, thank you. Thank you. It has been such a joy to be here to get in contact with me. You can email me at rynski@rinskilife.com and Rynski is R Y N S k I@rinskilife.com also go to wildss.com that is the Sanctuary of the Wild Souls.

You can get more info on the books and my art and the programs I have going on in there and join our community of moon rabbits.

That's a free one. I was talking to a coworker and they were like, I never knew a rabbit could be enlightened. I'm like, well, in my world, they are there.

And just enjoy, enjoy, enjoy, enjoy. Do something you love every single day, even if it's for two minutes. That's all.

Gresham Harkless 15:36

Yeah, absolutely. Well, of course we'll have the links and information like I mentioned before in the show notes as well, too, so that everybody can follow up with you. Find about all the awesome things you're working on. I appreciate so much all the awesome things that you're doing.

Appreciate you hopping back on the show. One of the things that I often say that we forget that we have like a paintbrush in our hands and we can often paint the canvas in the way that we see and we have more control over that than we sometimes realize and sometimes take advantage of.

So I appreciate you so much in doing that, helping people to realize that they have that paintbrush in their hands and of course that they can paint the canvas in the way they see fit. So I appreciate that. I hope you have a phenomenal rest of the day.

I was in a coaching group once and the woman said, don't grab your phone first thing in the morning. And like everyone was like, I have to, I have to. I right there, you are inviting in the chaos before you even get out of bed.

Yeah. And you might have already touched on this to be a little bit more CEO nugget could be word of wisdom, piece of advice. I like to say it might be something you would tell your younger business self if you were to hop into a time machine or potentially your favorite client.

[00:11:31.33] - Ryn Gargulinski

[00:12:35.94] - Gresham Harkless

Yes, absolutely. I love that. And I love that. I appreciate you so much in sharing that. And of course we'll have the links and everything in the show notes too, so everybody can get a copy of the book. Is phenomenal. So now I want to ask you my absolute favorite question, which is the definition of what it means to be a CEO. And our goal is to have different quote unquote CEOs on the show. So, Rinsky, what does being a CEO mean to you?

[00:12:56.22] - Ryn Gargulinski

Oh, I hate the word executive. So for me it's Chief Entertainment Officer, Chief Enlightenment Officer, and Chief Enjoyment Officer. Yeah. And it's. It's again, freedom and joy.

[00:13:37.21] - Gresham Harkless

Nice. I love that. The three E's, I'll call it that. And I think when you're able to kind of tap into that and understand like again, going back to the why you're doing what you're doing, it's not often, I believe, at least to have a title, it's to be able to create that experience, that enjoyment, the enlightenment, just to have all those things be a part of, like what it is that you're doing for yourself, but also for the people that are within your organization or you're partnering with or whatever. And however that that ends up being, at the end of the day, we have that opportunity to do that and we should operate from that vantage point.

[00:14:09.03] - Ryn Gargulinski

I agree. You are so on it.

[00:14:12.17] - Gresham Harkless

There we go. You may. I'm just repeating everything you did. So I appreciate it. Yes, absolutely. Well, Rinsky, truly appreciate that definition. Of course I appreciate your time even more. So what I wanted to do now is pass you the mic, so to speak, just to see if there's anything additional that you can let our readers and listeners know, of course, how best people can get a hold of you, find out about your books, all the awesome things that you're working on.

[00:14:36.17] - Ryn Gargulinski

Oh, well. Well, thank you. Thank you. It has been such a joy to be here to get in contact with me. You can email me@rinskyrinskylife.com and Rinsky is R Y N S k I@rinskylife.com also go to wild ss.com that is the sanctuary of the wild souls. You can get more info on the books and my art and the programs I have going on in there and join our community of moon rabbits. That's a free one. Yeah. I was talking to a coworker and they were like, I never knew a rabbit could be enlightened. I'm like, well, in my world, they are there. Yeah. And just enjoy, enjoy, enjoy, enjoy. Do something you love every single day, even if it's for two minutes. That's all.

[00:15:36.12] - Gresham Harkless

[00:16:11.73] - Ryn Gargulinski

You too. Thank you. Thank you.
