[restrict paid=”true”]
[00:01:21.50] – Sabine Milien
I sure am.
[00:01:22.59] – Gresham Harkless
Awesome. Well, let's do it then. So, kinda to kick everything off, I wanted to hear a little bit more about how you got started. Could you take us through what I call your CEO story We'll let you get started with all the awesome work you're doing.
[00:01:29.59] – Sabine Milien
Yeah. Great. Sure. I know this is going to sound very, very cliche, but I literally had a dream ten years ago, that that I should be a life coach and motivational speaker. So in the dream, I was speaking to thousands of people, motivating and inspiring them to take action, follow their God-given purpose, and just like become unstuck and just like do it, right? Well, throughout those ten years, life was still happening, right? And, it was like I was going around in circles and ended up where I wanted to be all along. So throughout those ten years, I went to college, finished my first degree in biology, then worked at a job that had nothing to do with my degree like a lot of people, right?
And then I knew it wasn't for me, so I went with what was safe, right? So I went back into school, for nursing, and while I was in school, the whole time I was thinking, like, none of this feels right. But I saw the majority of people going down this traditional path, and although it didn't feel right, I kept following this path. So that's the number one mistake, but we're gonna go into that a little later, right? Anyway, anyway, after college, it was time to take the licensing exam. Right? And after three times, I did not pass the NCLEX. Right? So my boyfriend told me, what if you put all that energy you were doing like, all the energy you put into studying into your business?
And what if you went after what God told you to be doing with your life? Right? So I just said, okay. Alright. Alright. Okay. So I went after that. Right? So about two weeks later, I registered my company, Million Enterprise Incorporated, which many people know as Sabina Life Coach dot com, and generated five figures in my first month of business. So that to me was confirmation, like, you need to be doing this.
[00:03:16.80] – Gresham Harkless
Yeah. Absolutely. It's so funny you said that because, at the beginning of this year, I read a book before, but I reread this book called Chase the Lion, and it talks about, you know, god-given potential and trying to reach out to that. But I know one of the things that it's mentioned is that sometimes god speaks to us through, you know, our dreams and things that we have, and sometimes we go to sleep with things, and we and there are seeds planted of what we should be doing. So even though, you know, many of us might have, you know, those dreams that we're thinking of, I appreciate you actually going forward and then getting that confirmation by being so successful at it, that you're definitely going the right right path.
[00:03:47.09] – Sabine Milien
Absolutely. Absolutely.
[00:03:49.30] – Gresham Harkless
Awesome. So I wanted to, drill down a little bit deeper and hear a little bit more on how you work with your clients. Could you take us through exactly, what you do and how exactly that process works?
[00:03:57.40] – Sabine Milien
Yeah. So, At Million Enterprises, some of the services I provide are, feeling like yourself again, getting unstuck, and taking control of your depression and anxiety, like I mentioned. I overcame that, and then became the best you by bridging the gap between where you are and where you want to be, alright? So this is all done through one-to-one coaching.
Every potential client that comes my way, actually go through my assessment tool, right, and I decide what the best program is for them it may be weight management, it may be relationships, it may be on purpose or career, being on a career purpose path program, Right? And so I help them with co-creating because it's a team it's a collaborative approach. I help my clients with co-creating how and what they want their life to become.
[00:04:48.00] – Gresham Harkless
Nice. I definitely appreciate that. And it kinda sounds like correct me if I'm wrong. Like, depending on what your goal might be, like you mentioned weight or, trying to lose weight or potentially may be trying to get a, promoted in a position or something like that. Sometimes it sounds like you might have blocks. You might have self-limiting beliefs, but some of those things sound like they might come up no matter what your path is. So you're able to kinda cocreate based off what they're going through, but help out with a lot of those, I guess gaps or things that could block people.
[00:05:14.30] – Sabine Milien
Yeah. Exactly. Because most of the time, it's not that people do not want to go after their goal, but it's because they have this obstacle, this barrier, that is blocking them from achieving the goal. Right? So with life coaching, it's literally, going from your current situation and then going from where you want to be, but having a life coach to help bridge the gap between the two. Right? So we, remove, the limiting beliefs, remove the obstacles, and then take action on what we need to do. So, yeah. You're right.
[00:05:50.30] – Gresham Harkless
Yeah. That makes so much sense. And I often, you know, feel like sometimes, you know, when you're on you're in your own skin, kinda in your own shoes, so to speak, you're so close to everything, it could be hard to kinda see some of those things. So that's why I love, you know, the work that you do because it helps people to, as you did as well too, reach their their their potential and and and and be their best selves so that they're able to kind of impact the world and and and do some remarkable work.
[00:06:11.89] – Sabine Milien
Yes. Absolutely. Now, just what you mentioned
[00:06:15.10] – Gresham Harkless
Mhmm.
[00:06:15.80] – Sabine Milien
Doing the work. Right? Because we have to remember, like, if we don't do the work, then the likelihood of achieving the goal is slim to none. So I also let, there is a screening process, with the clients as well who come through my program.
[00:06:31.80] – Gresham Harkless
Yeah. And that's huge because I love when I read that in your bio because you said, you know, realizing your potential but also putting in the work to make sure that happens, and people have to make sure that they understand that because it's not just, you know, to co-create, you have to ask somebody else to create with. So it sounds like you need the people to actually roll up their sleeves as well.
[00:06:48.10] – Sabine Milien
Yeah. That's right. Exactly.
[00:06:50.80] – Gresham Harkless
So, I wanted to ask you now for what I call your secret sauce. This could be for yourself or your business or a combination of both. But what do you feel kinda sets you apart and makes you unique?
[00:07:00.30] – Sabine Milien
Yeah. So I have to say this. It has to be the fact that I'm truly passionate and empathetic, right, with a desire to help others. So, everyone that comes to me, they're not just coming to me and then I give them a program and I'm like, here, you do it yourself. Or, like, I sell them something and just forget about them. You know what I mean? Mhmm. It's really a coaching like, once you have me, you really have me for life in a way because, it now becomes this collaboration, and we now become a team. And I think that's, not easy to find. It's pretty rare to find someone who is not only here to help you, but here to kinda take your hand and guide you along the path as well. So I think that would be, my unique selling point or secret sauce, you know, as what you said.
[00:07:52.00] – Gresham Harkless
Yeah. And that that makes so much sense. And I almost feel like and I don't know if you would say the exact same thing. When I read your bio and just, you know, speaking with you and hearing, you know, the journey that you went through, I often feel like sometimes we're put in those positions to be able to help others because you get to be empathetic because you've been through the same, if not similar things so that it the person's going through and trying to understand how to get past those blocks, they don't feel like they're by themselves.
[00:08:15.50] – Sabine Milien
Oh, yeah. Absolutely. Absolutely. Even when it came to, so when it came to, I was struggling with weight. Right? Mhmm. I went from being overweight to losing fifty pounds. Like, I know what that's like. I know what it's like to go through heartbreak and to be in, like, the best relationship of your life. I know what that's like. I know what it's like to go through and be in a career that maybe you're unhappy about or not satisfied with, and then seeking and understanding and then taking action on what your purpose is. Right? So you're right. The fact that I've gone through it, I can be empathetic because I know what it's like to be in their shoes. Yeah. That makes so much sense.
[00:08:52.29] – Gresham Harkless
And I think anytime, you know, you're going through any type of frustration just knowing that, for one, you're not by yourself, but two, somebody has been able to get over sometimes some of the frustrations and things that life throws at us, helps out so much as far as, like, getting to where we wanna be. So I I appreciate you doing that.
[00:09:06.39] – Sabine Milien
Yeah. Of course. Thank you.
[00:09:08.39] – Gresham Harkless
Awesome. Awesome. Awesome. So I wanted to switch gears a little bit, and I want to ask you for what I call a CEO hack. So this could be like an app, a book, or a habit that you have, but what's something that makes you more effective and efficient?
[00:09:19.79] – Sabine Milien
Oh, that's a good one. So, alright. So I don't think I mentioned this, but I am currently training for an ultra marathon Nice. Of fifty miles. Yeah. Yeah. So I'm a runner. I'm a runner. And every morning, I do my training. So every morning, I'm running anywhere between five to twelve miles a day. And then, if it's not that, then I'm doing my regular high-intensity workout. So just exercising in general. Right? So that's, like, one of my life hacks. Like, basically, take care of you before anything and anyone else. Right? So I take care of myself before anything and anyone else in the morning.
And then before I start the day, I literally write out and then schedule what I want to accomplish for that day. So I always believe, you never want to do your day unless it's finished, and that means planning ahead. And it has helped me a ton, like, a ton. Because you and I both know, like and I'm sure those who are listening, you have no you don't have much control over, like, everything that goes on in life. But if you could have control of some of what you can control, then you'll be a little bit more happy. So that is one hack that, I try to follow every day.
[00:10:40.50] – Gresham Harkless
Yeah. I absolutely love that. And you're definitely my hero. I've done a ten miler, and I almost died doing that. So we'll cry to you for being able to get that done. And I think the first time we connected, you had just gotten done, you know, doing that run. So I feel like that's, I don't know if people consider it meditation, but I almost feel like running and being able to kinda do that is a great way to kinda clear your mind. But I love what you talked about too is, like, one of my, internships that I had, my boss would always tell me, control what you can control.
And I think there's so many things, that are kind of beyond our control. But there are things that we can control. And if we do that, it allows us to set ourselves up to be as successful as possible, even though the things that we can't control may sometimes adjust as we can affect ourselves and affect where we're gonna be in life by the things that we can impact.
[00:11:24.60] – Sabine Milien
Exactly. I mean, you're absolutely right. Control what you can control. And I think, what you were told when you were an intern is, like, that to take with you for life.
[00:11:36.29] – Gresham Harkless
And I definitely have been. No. So I absolutely love that. And so now I wanted to ask you for what I call a CEO nugget. And I believe you touched on this a little bit, but this might be something you would tell a younger business self or something you might tell a client as well.
[00:11:50.00] – Sabine Milien
Alright. Alright. Alright. So, I got a lot of nuggets. Okay? Your girl got a lot of nuggets. But, I would say, to believe in yourself, not a hundred percent, but two hundred percent. Right? Mhmm. Believe in yourself two hundred percent for people to even believe in you a hundred percent. Percent. That's how much belief you and the belief and confidence that you have in yourself. Right? Because in business, you'll there's no doubt you will be told a no. There is no doubt you will be rejected. But that does not mean that it is the end all be all for your business. Right? Because it only takes one. So I always say to believe in yourself two hundred percent to keep that confidence up. Right? So, that's that's one nugget. Right? But you know I gotta take another one.
[00:12:42.70] – Gresham Harkless
Go for it.
[00:12:44.20] – Sabine Milien
So, something I would tell my client, who would come to me, or I know someone would is probably feeling it this way. If you are feeling depressed about life, it is either of two things. It is because deep down you don't feel like yourself. Either you are not doing what you know you were called to do, or your vision of how you believe yourself to be is not your current situation.
[00:13:13.29] – Gresham Harkless
Mhmm.
[00:13:14.39] – Sabine Milien
Yeah. Yeah. So once you know that it's like, alright. Something's up. Let me switch it. Let there's something that has to change. And when you know that and when you're aware of that, that's when you can take action. So those are my two little nuggets.
[00:13:28.20] – Gresham Harkless
Nice. I definitely appreciate both of those nuggets. And I love that, believing in yourself two hundred percent. I can even see that aligning with what we talked about in the hack and being able to, you know, kinda fill up your cup and make sure you have that confidence. Do those things and make sure that you can be your best self so that you can, you know, give because you will hit those roadblocks. You will hear those no's and all of those things throughout life.
And I love the second nugget because it ties into what we talked about before with your story. And sometimes, we may not feel that we're going to the right place. And that's because we're we know what we're called to do, and it takes us, you know, taking that action and taking those steps, putting in that work to be able to adjust it. But I think you also have to be, I guess, sometimes quiet enough or aligned enough with yourself and your purpose to be able to make sure that you are doing that.
[00:14:15.10] – Sabine Milien
You just summed it all up. There you go. Yeah.
[00:14:17.00] – Gresham Harkless
There we go. Nice. Well, I definitely appreciate that. And now I wanted to ask you my absolute favorite question, which is the definition of what it means to be a CEO. And we're open to different quote-unquote CEOs on the show, Sabine. What does being a CEO mean to you?
[00:14:31.10] – Sabine Milien
Yeah. So being a CEO means being myself. I don't have to pretend. I don't have to sugarcoat it. I don't have to smile to please someone just for a check. Right? For me, being a CEO means freedom. It's the ability of my ability, to be creative and live out my purpose without any limitations. And that is why I am a CEO.
[00:14:52.70] – Gresham Harkless
Awesome. Awesome. Awesome. I absolutely love that. And being able to kinda tap into that potential that we talked about, you know, so many times and be able to not run anybody else's race, but run our own race and stay true ourselves is so huge. So I appreciate you for for giving that definition, for living that, and of course, reminding so many people to do that as well too. So, I appreciate it again. And what I wanted to do is patch you the mic, so to speak, just to see if there's anything additional you can let our readers and listeners know, and, of course, how best they can get ahold of you and find out about all the awesome things you're working on.
[00:15:20.10] – Sabine Milien
Yeah. So again, like I mentioned, as far as the golden nugget, always, always believe in yourself. Not one hundred, but two hundred. And if you can take it up to three hundred, that's me. You made my day. Now if you are looking to stay updated with me, of course, you can follow me on Instagram at Sabine the life coach or view my website, take a look at what I'm doing, take a look at any news or anything you may anything that you may be interested in that may inspire you, just visit Sabine the life coach dot com. Oh, yeah. That w w w. You already know.
[00:15:53.10] – Gresham Harkless
Absolutely. And to make it even easier, we will have the links and information in the show notes. But definitely appreciate, you know, all the awesome work that I said, you know, before that you did. You do, Sabine, and of course, appreciate the time that you took today. And of course, that reminder that if we can take it up to two hundred percent or even three hundred percent or even more to to make sure that we do that. Because if we believe in ourselves, then that helps out a lot as far as a lot of the things that will happen in business and in life and everything all around. So appreciate you again so much, and I hope you have a phenomenal rest of the day.

So I think that would be, my unique selling point or secret sauce, you know, as what you said.
[00:07:52.00] - Gresham Harkless
[00:08:15.50] - Sabine Milien
Oh, yeah. Absolutely.
[00:08:52.29] - Gresham Harkless
And I think anytime, you know, you're going through any type of frustration just knowing that, for one, you're not by yourself, but two, somebody has been able to get over sometimes some of the frustrations and things that life throws at us, helps out so much as far as, like, getting to where we wanna be. So I I appreciate you doing that.
[00:09:06.39] - Sabine Milien
Yeah. Of course. Thank you.
[00:09:08.39] - Gresham Harkless
Awesome. Awesome. Awesome. So I wanted to switch gears a little bit, and I want to ask you for what I call a CEO hack. So this could be like an app, a book, or a habit that you have, but what's something that makes you more effective and efficient?
[00:09:19.79] - Sabine Milien
[00:10:40.50] - Gresham Harkless
[00:11:24.60] - Sabine Milien
Exactly. I mean, you're absolutely right. Control what you can control. And I think, what you were told when you were an intern is, like, that to take with you for life.
[00:11:36.29] - Gresham Harkless
And I definitely have been. No. So I absolutely love that. And so now I wanted to ask you for what I call a CEO nugget. And I believe you touched on this a little bit, but this might be something you would tell a younger business self or something you might tell a client as well.
[00:11:50.00] - Sabine Milien
Alright. Alright.
[00:12:42.70] - Gresham Harkless
Go for it.
[00:12:44.20] - Sabine Milien
So, something I would tell my client, who would come to me, or I know someone would is probably feeling it this way. If you are feeling depressed about life, it is either of two things. It is because deep down you don't feel like yourself. Either you are not doing what you know you were called to do, or your vision of how you believe yourself to be is not your current situation.
[00:13:13.29] - Gresham Harkless
Mhmm.
[00:13:14.39] - Sabine Milien
Yeah. Yeah. So once you know that it's like, alright. Something's up. Let me switch it. Let there's something that has to change. And when you know that and when you're aware of that, that's when you can take action. So those are my two little nuggets.
[00:13:28.20] - Gresham Harkless
[00:14:15.10] - Sabine Milien
You just summed it all up. There you go. Yeah.
[00:14:17.00] - Gresham Harkless
There we go. Nice. Well, I definitely appreciate that. And now I wanted to ask you my absolute favorite question, which is the definition of what it means to be a CEO. And we're open to different quote-unquote CEOs on the show, Sabine. What does being a CEO mean to you?
[00:14:31.10] - Sabine Milien
[00:14:52.70] - Gresham Harkless
Awesome. Awesome.
[00:15:20.10] - Sabine Milien
[00:15:53.10] - Gresham Harkless
